Have you ever sat down and thought about how your life would be if you were never given a second thought by a coffee and vanilla chip vendor? You would find yourself in an odd situation, a world of total chaos where nothing made any sense, people are rude and desperate to get out of your way, and you would spend every waking moment trying not to spill anything on the floor, because you are afraid that you may have done something wrong and gotten yourself into trouble. Now imagine this; you are in the drug store, trying to decide what kind of candy to get. Two choices are given to you, a bag of candy coated in chocolate (yuck!) and a bag of vanilla chips.
An innocent schoolgirl with a crush on a thirty year old rich guy falls for a rich but inexperienced man with a dirty past. The girl’s mom is told about this man, who has been making her daughter nervous for weeks, so her mom takes her in to see the counselor, Akutsu. Akutsu is a big shot detective that likes to solve large crimes. As he listens to the details of this coffee and vanilla problem, he realizes that it is more than just coffee and vanilla.
As the investigation deepens, the mom realizes that the man she is seeing is much more than coffee and vanilla. He is obsessed with coffee and vanilla, and has been buying milk and other products made from milk. When the guy goes to jail, the girls run out of milk to try to sweeten his jail food, so she buys a chocolate bar, thinking that it will make him happy. However, instead of sweetness, he gets heart problems.
