Coffee Pots and Drip Coffee Makers

A coffee pot is an important tool in the coffee drinking process. It has a spout that is used to dispense hot water over grounds. The spout is usually made from stainless steel, plastic or glass.

A coffee pot can be a simple cylinder or a high-domed vessel. Some are shaped like a carafe. In the early 17th century, a spout was placed low on the body of the pot.

In the 18th century, cloth filters were added to the pot. This gave the coffee a more distinct taste.

Some coffee pots are decorated with shells, festoons, or natural motifs. This type of design was inspired by Paul De Lamerie, a French silversmith who created beautiful rococo pots.

Another coffee pot design is the moka pot. It is a two-piece kettle that can brew essential coffee in minutes.

The moka pot has a pressure valve in the bottom part of the device. As soon as the pressure reaches a certain level, the valve will open. If the valve fails, boiling water will shoot out of the device.

However, there is another more complicated coffee brewing device. It is called a drip coffee maker.

Drip coffee makers brew because of coffee beans. They do not have control over the temperature of the water. Water that is too hot or too cold can lead to a weak or sour coffee.

Some higher-end drip coffee pots have buttons that allow you to adjust the recipe. Many people are satisfied with their drip pots.
