Types of Coffee Pods

There are two main types of coffee pods: ground and brew. A single-serve coffee pod machine is a convenient way to prepare just enough coffee for one cup at a time. A brew pod machine, on the other hand, can produce an entire pot of coffee at once, by preparing a constant supply of coffee. Both single serve and brew pods are available in many different flavors, allowing a person to choose which is right for them. This means a person can have the same flavor from one cup of coffee, with more flavors added as the number of cups increase.

Some coffee pods are made with small holes, so the water cannot be forced through them. In order to brew a good cup of coffee with a single serving, these types of pods should be used. Any time a pod is used in a normal brewing process, the water is forced through the tiny holes, thus preventing the flavors from being lost to the outer shell. Brewed coffee is not always available in single serving sizes, because some companies place an extra charge for it, but there are many coffee companies that offer it in larger quantities.

Coffee machines with a built-in roast function can make use of coffee pods in their brewing process. The pod should first be placed into the coffee machine, and then once it has been inserted, the machine will perform its normal function. A good machine should be able to provide several different flavors, allowing people to have many different options for the types of coffee they would like to drink. For people who enjoy drinking coffee without having to preheat the whole pot, the built-in roast function is an excellent way to enjoy coffee without a huge investment.
